Black Witchery is a blackened death metal horde hailing from Winter Springs, Florida. Emerging from the ashes of Irreverent in the mid-1990s, the band originally performed under the name Witchery. To avoid confusion with the Swedish band of the same name, they adopted the name Black Witchery in 1999 — a title more reflective of their feral, uncompromising sound.

After unleashing a string of demos and split releases, Black Witchery delivered their debut full-length, Desecration of the Holy Kingdom, in 2001 through cult label Full Moon Productions. In 2005, they aligned with France’s Osmose Productions to release their second full-length assault, Upheaval of Satanic Might. The band continued their blasphemous path with the Desecration & Sodomy split with Archgoat in 2008 — a collaboration that later manifested in a joint European tour in 2017.

Black Witchery's live fury was captured on the Live Desecration Ritual album (2010), followed closely by the infernal Inferno of Sacred Destruction. In 2016, Evil Shall Prevail emerged via Nuclear War Now! Productions — a compendium of early demo material, rare splits, and previously unreleased recordings.

Tragically, on February 2, 2016, longtime guitarist Steve “Tregenda” Childers passed away in a car accident at the age of 49. His legacy remains embedded in the band’s relentless sound and enduring influence on the war metal underground
