Now issued as an official cassette edition, Into the Autumn Shade returns through a collaboration between Extremely Rotten Productions, Necroharmonic Productions, and Rotter Records. Presented with slipcase packaging and full layout, this release continues the physical lineage of Ceremonium’s 1995 full-length, restoring its presence in a format aligned with the underground tradition. This edition stands as part of an ongoing effort to preserve and circulate the band’s defining work while maintaining its original atmosphere and intent.  

Originally formed in the early 1990s by Victor Rivera and Oscar Matter, Ceremonium stands among the earliest architects of American doom-death. Their first official release, the Nightfall in Heaven 7″ EP, was issued by Necroharmonic Productions in 1993, marking both the band’s introduction and one of the label’s earliest defining releases, establishing a direct lineage between Necroharmonic and the band’s earliest recorded output.

Just a few years later, Ceremonium expanded their sound into something more immersive. In 1995, Into the Autumn Shade emerged as a full-length work of depth and restraint, six tracks built on atmosphere, pacing, and crushing density. Drawing from influences such as early Cathedral demos, Abhorrence (Fin), Crematory (Swe), early My Dying Bride, Cemetery (Swe), Anathema, and the NY / NJ / PA death metal underground, the album established itself as a cornerstone of early doom-death metal.

This reissue continues that lineage, linking the band’s first Necroharmonic release to its defining full-length, now reintroduced through a unified collaboration across the underground. Available in multiple formats including vinyl and cassette, Into the Autumn Shade is restored as it was meant to be experienced, physical, immersive, and grounded in its original atmosphere.
