Prelude to Apocalypse was first issued in 1999 as a self-financed statement from New Jersey’s Disciples Of Mockery, a cult American death metal band rooted in the underground lineage of the 1990s. This landmark release stands as one of the most sought-after doom-influenced death metal albums of its era, known for its raw production, oppressive atmosphere, and uncompromising approach. Originally circulated in limited quantities, the album has become a key document for collectors of old school death metal, New Jersey death metal, and early Incantation-related projects.
